Rocker Marilyn Manson’s next album is going to be more punk rock, according to his guitarist. Speaking to The Blairing Out with Eric Blair Show, Twiggy Ramirez (aka Jeordie White) said Manson’s eight studio album is “kind of like a little more of a punk-rock Mechanical Animals,” referring to the 1998 album.
Ramirez said that the album was “almost done” and would most likely be out in 2011. “It’s fantastic,” he said. “It’s our best record yet, I think. I mean, everyone always says that, but I think this is our best work so far.”
The guitarist rejoined Manson’s band in 2008, after a split that lasted seven years. While away, he played bass for A Perfect Circle. That band has recently reunited, but Ramirez isn’t involved, at least not in a full-time capacity.
“I might do a song or two with them at an L.A. show,” he said. “But for the next couple of years my priorities are with Marilyn Manson.”
