Fall Out Boy bassist Pete Wentz will release the debut album from his new band Black Cards this summer.
Wentz formed the band in 2010 with singer Bebe Rexha following the announcement of Fall Out Boy's indefinite hiatus in 2009.
"I think people expect us to ride in on Fall Out Boy's coattails but it's so different. It's like the dude in the pop punk band goes and makes a pop album that you're supposed to, like, smoke wacky tobacckey on the beach to, you know? Weird! I never planned on doing that in my entire life."
In a previous interview with MTV, the bassist revealed that the debut album will feature guest performances from Gym Class Heroes's Travis McCoy, Neon Trees frontman Tyler Glenn and Shaggy.
