Courtney Love has been ordered to hand over more than $35,000 to two former maids who accused her of failing to pay their wages.
The two ex-staff members filed suit against Courtney claiming the star had not paid them for cleaning her home for several years.
They filed their suit in a court in Beverly Hills, CA and won, with the judge ordering Courtney to pay the pair - known only as Miriam and Myrium - $16,632 and $19,137 respectively, according to TMZ.com.
But the ruling is not the end of Love's legal problems - she is being sued by her former attorney over comments she allegedly made on Twitter.com, which the lawyer claims hampered her career.
A music journalist has revealed that Courtney Love wanted to snort Kurt Cobain's ashes.
According to writer Neil Strauss, the 'Hole' singer suggested they inhale her dead husband's remains during a bizarre interview.
"She was serious when she made the suggestion. She actually said she would offer his ashes to me first to snort and then said she would like them," the Daily Telegraph quoted Strauss as telling RadarOnline.com.
Courtney's strange request is revealed in Strauss' tell-all book 'Everyone Loves You When You Are Dead' which also includes details of conversations he's had with stars including Lady Gaga, Madonna and Britney Spears.
In the book, Neil writes of how the blonde rocker - who was married to Nirvana frontman Kurt until his death in 1994 - 'introduced' him to her husband before confessing she desired to snort his ashes.
He wrote: "She walks to a dresser, pulls open a drawer, and removes a square-shaped tin. She removes the lid, revealing a plastic bag full of white ashes. A faint smell of jasmine emanates from the tin.
"LOVE: Too bad you don't do coke. Otherwise I'd suggest taking a metal straw to it.
"STRAUSS: Yeah, I don't think that would be the right thing to do.
"LOVE: I'd like to though."
Courtney Love's Twitter account was taken offline as the she prepares to go to court to fight allegations she defamed a fashion designer on Twitter. The Hole star has been sued by Dawn Simorangkir, who alleges Love damaged her reputation with a series of angry 'Tweets' in March 2009. Attorneys for both sides are due to appear at a mandatory settlement conference in Los Angeles later this week, and will go to trial next month on 11 February 2011 if an agreement is not reached. Love's account on the site has now been removed as her lawyers prepare to go into action.
