brandon flowers third time father

American musician Brandon Flowers, frontman of the rock band The Killers, has become a father for the third time after wife Tana gave birth to a boy.

The couple have named the baby Henry. Tana gave birth 9 March 2011, his publicist confirmed to People magazine.

They already have two sons, Ammon, 3, and 19-month-old Gunnar.

Brandon, who released his first solo album 'Flamingo' last year, recently expressed his desire to spend more time with his family.

'It's very difficult being on tour so my family don't come with me very often. With touring it gets harder with each child, it's not something you plan for or prepare yourself for, you just got to go out there and figure it out yourself,' he said.

'I love music, but I want to spend more time with my children. I'd like to be around when they start school,' the 29-year-old star said.

keane ~ is it any wonder?

Tim Rice-Oxley has said that it is unlikely he will fight with Tom Chaplin over lead singing duties in Keane.

The songwriter and pianist already sings backing vocals in the band but both he and bassist Jesse Quin perform lead vocals on their Mt. Desolation project.

Mt. Desolation is an alt-country band from England. It is the side project of Tim Rice-Oxley and Jesse Quin, members of the rock band Keane. Their self-titled debut album was released on 18 October 18 2010. The band's line-up is extensive, including members of Keane, Noah & The Whale, The Killers, The Long Winters, The Staves, Mumford & Sons. The core of the band, though, is composed of front men Tim Rice-Oxley and Jesse Quin, both members of Keane.

When asked if the experience could lead him to push for a lead singing role on Keane's next record, Rice-Oxley said "I doubt it. Tom's such a great singer that it's just a pleasure to listen to him. He certainly makes it look so easy!

"I think I feel more confident about maybe singing the odd song. I do a lot of backing vocals already but I feel more confident about doing that now and pulling my weight a bit more in the vocal department."

Asked if he would ever work with founding Keane guitarist Dominic Scott - who left the band in 2001 - again, Rice-Oxley said "We're still in touch, but I've not seen him for a few months. He's got his own band called Roundstone who are actually really, really good and I think they're starting to do things which is great.

"It's weird those things. It's tempting to do stuff together - I hope we do get a chance to do stuff together again. We'll know when the time is right."

brandon flowers ~ crossfire

Killers star Brandon Flowers said he is 'winding down' his solo career as he prepares to become a dad for the third time.

The US singer released his solo album, Flamingo, earlier this year but said he won't stay a solo singer for that much longer.

Flowers' wife is expecting their third child soon. They are already parents to two sons Ammon, three, and Gunner, 14 months.

The star was also asked what he would do if another member of The Killers wanted to take time out from the band and tour on their own.

He said: 'I'd put out another song. I'm always writing, at any given time there are songs cooking.'

brandon flowers ~ solo album

Brandon Flowers, the lead singer for The Killers will release his debut solo album titled "Flamingo" on September 14, 2010 according to an announcement by Island Records last week.

The album's first single, "Crossfire," has already been released and other songs will include upbeat rock song "Jilted Lovers and Broken Hearts" as well as "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas," according to the record company.

Flowers, a former college dropout, became known for his glam rock image and soaring vocals after The Killers' first 2004 album "Hot Fuss" propelled them to international success with singles including "Mr. Brightside" and "All These Things That I've Done."

Flowers has said The Killers' are currently talking about when to start recording a new album after taking an indefinite hiatus after their last world tour.
