I appreciate the guest post from Marian Combs
I've been seriously considering getting a cable tv satellite
so I can start catching up on Project Runway. I LOVE that show. There
must be a frustrated designer in me somewhere just dying to get out!
Tim Gunn? He is so hilarious. And I love seeing him so impeccably
dressed. And he seems to genuinely care about the designers. And I
love how snarky Nina and Michael Kors can be. They are right (usually),
but how they put it is too funny! The one thing I don't love about the
show is how they love to give a lot of air time to the interpersonal
drama. I think that's nonsense. But, that's apparently what people
want to see when they watch reality tv, I guess. Not me, though. I
want to see FASHION! They have had some designers able to make it out in
the "real" world. Christian Siriano I think its doing really well. He
even has a shoe line for payless. And apparently he designed a dress
that Taylor Swift wore in her latest perfume ad that they just can't
make enough of. He is really young too. He is really talented though.
His addiction to flat-ironing his hair on the show was pretty
entertaining.
