His name is Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John.  He weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces.

"We are overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment. Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents."

Elton and his partner, who entered into a civil union in 2005, tried to adopt an AIDS-infected orphan in Ukraine last year, but were thwarted by government regulations.

velvet revolver getting ready to reveal new singer

Slash and Duff McKagan's rock group Velvet Revolver wants to make a comeback - the band is close to securing a new frontman, more than two years after Scott Weiland was ousted from the job.
The group has been without a lead vocalist since parting ways with Weiland in April 2008.

They revived efforts to find a replacement earlier this month and drummer Matt Sorum admits they have narrowed down the search - although he's hesitant to reveal the identity of the star until they've jammed together a little longer.

He insists the mystery vocalist is a "known guy", who he describes as "younger and stronger".
And he's urged fans to remain patient as they work out the finer details.

Sorum adds, "I know it's been like this long-winded, 'Oh, Velvet Revolver this, Velvet Revolver that.' We're tired of it, believe me. But we don't have the ability to just jump out there with any singer. We can't do it."

aaron lewis of staind - country boy

Staind frontman Aaron Lewis is making the jump to country music, similar to other rock-oriented stars like Kid Rock and Darius Rucker.

His solo debut, Town Line, is due out in February 2011 with the disc's first single, "Country Boy". "Country Boy" features George Jones, Charlie Daniels and Chris Young.

Lewis explained that he grew up listening to country music, and the genre change isn't as drastic as it might appear.

"Country was the background music to my childhood. My grandfather listened to Merle Haggard, Hank Williams, Hank Williams, Jr., and all of the greats," Lewis said.

Lewis says that another rock-turned-country star, Kid Rock, was another part of the inspiration to go country.

"When Staind did our first tour with Kid Rock in 1999, I rode the bus with him on a couple occasions and we bonded over this music," Lewis said. "I haven't been able to let go of it since then."

farro brothers leaving paramore

On 18 December 2010, Paramore announced that brothers Josh and Zac Farro were leaving the band, confirming rumors that had begun earlier in the week.

In a blog post on the band's official site Paramore wrote that the Farros had actually decided to leave the group "a couple of months ago," and that, while fans might be shocked by the news, the remaining three members — frontwoman Hayley Williams, bassist Jeremy Davis and guitarist Taylor York — weren't.

"None of us were really shocked. For the last year it hasn't seemed as if they wanted to be around anymore," the statement read in part. "We want Josh and Zac to do something that makes them happy and if that isn't here with us, then we support them finding happiness elsewhere."
The Farro brothers, guitarist Josh and drummer Zac,  founded Paramore with Williams and Davis in 2004 (York was made an official member of the band around the release of 2009's Brand New Eyes album), and though the group has lost two of its core members, they pledged to continue on ... with a tour scheduled for February 2011.

"We never for a second thought about leaving any of this behind. We really hope that you can be encouraged by the fact that the three of us who are still here are ready to take on another chapter of our journey together," the statement read. "You have always been what keeps us going so why would we stop now? We want to stick by you. Knowing that we have a unified passion and a clear vision makes us feel stronger than ever."

Earlier this week, a blog post announcing the Farros departure began making the rounds. And though it was credited to the band, in their statement on Saturday, Paramore denounced it as "a fake."

"The blog that was posted regarding everything that is going on with our band ...we aren't sure who did it or why... And we aren't sure how they timed it this way," their statement read. "This is the first time that we have spoken out about what's going on and we wouldn't have released an official statement that important through a personal blog. So, we're sorry for any confusion and just to remain clear, this is the first time we have spoken out about this."

Paramore concluded by thanking their fans for standing by them, and promised that 2011 will be a big year for the band. Farro brothers, or not.

"We have some amazing things lined up for next year starting with our tour in South America. We are still coming to you and we are excited about who we are bringing with us! The tour is still on and we can't wait to see you all," they wrote. "As we look back, and now as we look with excitement to the future, in all of this what truly matters are the good times. The pictures of us with our arms around each other, the long van rides, your faces while you sing along as we play. Thank you for getting us right here to this very moment. We look forward to our best times. And we hope you will go there with us."

phantom planet - california

Phantom Planet is an alternative rock band from Southern California. The band consists of vocalist-rhythm guitarist Alex Greenwald, lead guitarist Darren Robinson, bassist Sam Farrar and drummer Jeff Conrad. The band is best known for its track "California", which became the theme song for the Fox TV series, The O.C.. While the band is often mentioned as the group that featured actor Jason Schwartzman on drums, they have continued on in his absence and have released a number of well-received albums. On November 25, 2008, the band announced in a blog entry on their website that they are going on "hiatus, and will not be playing any more live shows or making any new records, indefinitely." They played their last show on December 12, 2008, in Los Angeles. Alex mentioned numerous times during their last show that the band was, in fact, going on a hiatus, not breaking up.

pink floyd won selling rights

 http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/f/ff/Pink_Floyd_The_Wall_Scream.jpg

After nine months, rockers Pink Floyd have won the right to have the band's music sold only in album form and not as individual tracks.

The group triumphed over record bosses at EMI after they admitted breaching an agreement with the band to only sell their music as full albums, reports the Daily Express.

EMI had signed a deal with the group that banned them from selling single tracks online or songs as ringtones.

They were found to have violated the order in March and immediately filed an appeal challenging the court's decision.

The case went before the Court of Appeal in London on Wednesday and the officials ruled in Floyd's favor once again, stating the deal was put in place to preserve the band's integrity.

joel madden and nicole richie married

http://img2.timeinc.net/people/i/2008/startracks/081201/nicole_richie.jpg

Joel Madden from Good Charlotte   and Nicole Richie are officially husband and wife.

The couple, who began dating four years ago and have two children together, tied the knot at the Los Angeles home of  Lionel Richie, the bride's father. An array of stars helped the couple celebrate their nuptials, including No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani, celebrity DJ Samantha Ronson and Madden's twin and Good Charlotte band member, Benji.
People reports a unique guest made an impression at the wedding: the affair apparently included a trained elephant that was seen being led to the wedding site.

The duo have a son, Sparrow, and a daughter, Harlow, together and announced earlier this year that they were ready to head down the aisle. Madden took to Twitter to announce the news in February.
"Yep. I'm engaged. Very happy," he said. "Yeah, we've been engaged for a while, so you're all kind of late on that. But thanks for the hoopla all the same."

While Madden turned to social media to inform fans of the engagement, Richie went to late-night TV, confirming to David Letterman that she and Madden were slated to swap vows.
"We actually recently are engaged, yes," Richie said.

paramore taks time off road

http://userserve-ak.last.fm/serve/_/17522709/Paramore.jpg

Paramore are definitely wrapping up a year that included a slew of chart-ruling hits and a huge cross-country trek.

"We don't have much more for the rest of this year. We're going on a tour in South America and then we're taking time off and we're writing for a new record," York said. Although a new project beckons, York admitted that moving on from the success of Brand New Eyes is a bit difficult. "We're kind of at the end of this record but it's bittersweet."

As Paramore heads off to craft their fourth LP, Williams said they plan to take the same time-tested approach to making new music that proved successful with their previous work. Although their "Twilight" soundtrack smash "Decode" was penned on the road, the front-woman maintained they prefer to knock out a record at their home base in Tennessee.

"We wrote 'Decode' [while on tour] ... we didn't expect it and then everything happened with that one and so that was good. You never know," she conceded. "We like to do it at home mostly. We like to wait and kind of really focus on the records when we have time off."

a day to remember ~ the downfall of us all

A Day to Remember is an American rock band from Ocala, Florida. Founded in 2003 by guitarist, Tom Denny, and drummer, Bobby Scruggs.

The Downfall Of Us All ***** lyrics
Songwriters: Denney, Thomas H Jr; Mckinnon, Jeremy Wade; Shelnutt, Alexander T; Westfall, Neil S; Woodard, Joshua Steven;

Duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh
Duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh, duh
Let's go

It's not easy making a name for yourself
Where do you draw the line?
I never thought I'd be in this far
Let's have some fun and never change that for anyone
Try not to miss me when I'm gone

I sold my soul to the open road
I live my life alone
You'll find me in the same spot believe me
I could never stop, my life's turned upside down

Meet me out past the train tracks
I'm leaving and not coming back
You're right and I was wrong
This town will be the downfall of us all

I'm gonna need you to try to follow along
I did the best that I could to try to write you songs

Now go tell them we sold out
Like we're the ones who changed
I wrote the feeling's new to me, in my sincerity

I sold my soul to the open road
I live my life alone
You'll find me in the same spot believe me
I could never stop, my life's turned upside down

Meet me out past the train tracks
I'm leaving and not coming back
You're right and I was wrong
This town will be the downfall of us all

Don't forget yourselves, we've made up our minds
And we signed 3, 4, 5 on the dotted line
Don't forget yourselves, we've made up our minds
And we signed 3, 4, 5 on the dotted line

You'll find me in the same spot believe me
I could never stop, my life's turned upside down
Meet me out past the train tracks
I'm leaving and not coming back
You're right and I was wrong

You'll find me in the same spot believe me
I could never stop, my life's turned upside down
Meet me out past the train tracks
I'm leaving and not coming back
You're right and I was wrong

This town will be the downfall of us all
This town will be the downfall of us all
Downfall of us all, downfall of us all
Downfall of us all, downfall of us all

freelance whales - hannah

To call them multi-instrumentalists might be a little overdone. The members in Freelance Whales are really just collectors, at heart. They don’t really fancy buffalo nickels or Victorian furniture, but over the past two years, they’ve been collecting instruments, ghost stories, and dream-logs. Somehow, from this strange compost heap of little sounds and quiet thoughts, songs started to rise up like steam from the ground.

The first performance of these songs took place in January of 2009, in Staten Island’s abandoned farm colony, a dilapidated geriatric ward, in one of New York’s lesser visited boroughs. A seemingly never-ending jigsaw of small rooms, the farm colony ate them whole and threatened to never regurgitate them. And even though the onlookers were only spiritual presences, the group was still palpably nervous and visibly cold. After a bit of singing, strumming and stomping asbestos, they realized that they’d found a good crowd. They heard a bit of clapping from an adjacent room, also some laughing, but not a single soul asked about their record.

Since their brief residency at the Farm Colony, Freelance Whales have taken to city streets, subway platforms, and stages with their swirling nostalgia. Many people who found them playing in those public spaces, managed to forget what train they were supposed to take; some of them forgot what language they originally spoke. And so, after playing in New York City, almost exclusively, for about a year, they embarked on their first tour of the United States, and Canada. They saw buffalos posted on hilltops, armies of windmills, and lots of lovely people who let the music run their blood in reverse.

vampire weekend file lawsuit

http://www.psfk.com/wp-content/uploads/2008/07/vampire-weekend-large.jpg

Vampire Weekend have issue a lawsuit to photographer Tod Brody over their 'Contra' album cover – although neither they or the court can find him.

The band are being sued for $2million by Ann Kirsten Kennis, who appears in the photo on the cover of the album, released earlier this year. She claims she did not give permission for the image to be used.

Vampire Weekend
is saying that liability lies with photographer Brody, because he presented them with a release form supposedly signed by Kennis. However, she claims Brody never even took the photo, despite selling it to the band to use.

Normally lawsuit papers have to be supplied in person, but as the band and court officials were unable to track the photographer down they were given permission to file them by mail and email.
From 3 December 2010 it will be legally considered that he has received the papers.

If he doesn't respond, a default judgement against him could be made early next year.

keane ~ is it any wonder?

Tim Rice-Oxley has said that it is unlikely he will fight with Tom Chaplin over lead singing duties in Keane.

The songwriter and pianist already sings backing vocals in the band but both he and bassist Jesse Quin perform lead vocals on their Mt. Desolation project.

Mt. Desolation is an alt-country band from England. It is the side project of Tim Rice-Oxley and Jesse Quin, members of the rock band Keane. Their self-titled debut album was released on 18 October 18 2010. The band's line-up is extensive, including members of Keane, Noah & The Whale, The Killers, The Long Winters, The Staves, Mumford & Sons. The core of the band, though, is composed of front men Tim Rice-Oxley and Jesse Quin, both members of Keane.

When asked if the experience could lead him to push for a lead singing role on Keane's next record, Rice-Oxley said "I doubt it. Tom's such a great singer that it's just a pleasure to listen to him. He certainly makes it look so easy!

"I think I feel more confident about maybe singing the odd song. I do a lot of backing vocals already but I feel more confident about doing that now and pulling my weight a bit more in the vocal department."

Asked if he would ever work with founding Keane guitarist Dominic Scott - who left the band in 2001 - again, Rice-Oxley said "We're still in touch, but I've not seen him for a few months. He's got his own band called Roundstone who are actually really, really good and I think they're starting to do things which is great.

"It's weird those things. It's tempting to do stuff together - I hope we do get a chance to do stuff together again. We'll know when the time is right."

sebastian bach ~ charged with assault

http://exclaim.ca/images/bach.jpg

Singer Sebastian Bach has been released on $3,000 bail after he was charged with assaulting a staff member at a bar in Canada.
Bach was released Monday after he was charged with assaulting the bartender, as well as possession of marijuana and mischief.
On Monday afternoon, Toronto Police were on their way to Peterborough, to arrest Bach on a six-year-old warrant.
Const. Tony Vella said the warrant for Bach stems from a mischief under $5,000 charge.
The singer , who lives in New Jersey, was raised in Peterborough.

Early Monday morning, police allege Bach - whose real name is Sebastian Bierk - was at Riley's Old Towne Pub in Peterborough when he got into a dispute with the staff and was asked to leave at 12:02 a.m.
He walked to the door carrying a glass of wine, police said, and when he was told he couldn't leave with it he threw it at the front doors, shattering the glass.
Police said a staff member restrained him until officers arrived, and while they waited a scuffle ensued.
When officers searched him they found marijuana on him.

He is scheduled to appear in court again on 23 Nov. 2010.

marilyn manson - next album

http://www.100xr.com/100_XR/Artists/M/Marilyn_Manson/Marilyn.Manson-band-2003.jpg

Rocker Marilyn Manson’s next album is going to be more punk rock, according to his guitarist. Speaking to The Blairing Out with Eric Blair Show, Twiggy Ramirez (aka Jeordie White) said Manson’s eight studio album is “kind of like a little more of a punk-rock Mechanical Animals,” referring to the 1998 album.
Ramirez said that the album was “almost done” and would most likely be out in 2011. “It’s fantastic,” he said. “It’s our best record yet, I think. I mean, everyone always says that, but I think this is our best work so far.”
The guitarist rejoined Manson’s band in 2008, after a split that lasted seven years. While away, he played bass for A Perfect Circle. That band has recently reunited, but Ramirez isn’t involved, at least not in a full-time capacity.
“I might do a song or two with them at an L.A. show,” he said. “But for the next couple of years my priorities are with Marilyn Manson.”

foo fighters ~ no way back

The Foo Fighters are an American rock band from Seattle, Washington, formed in 1994. Drummer Dave Grohl formed the group as a one-man project after the dissolution of his previous band, Nirvana, in 1994. Prior to the release of the band's eponymous debut album in 1995, Grohl drafted two members from the former band Sunny Day Real Estate, Nate Mendel as bassist and William Goldsmith as drummer, as well as fellow Nirvana bandmate Pat Smear as guitarist to complete the group. The band was small and young, and began with performances in Portland, Oregon, before gaining popularity. Goldsmith left during the recording of the group's second album, The Colour and the Shape (1997), and Smear's departure followed soon afterward. They were replaced by Taylor Hawkins and Franz Stahl, respectively, although Stahl left before the recording of the group's third album, There Is Nothing Left to Lose (1999).

Chris Shiflett joined as the band's third guitarist after the completion of There Is Nothing Left to Lose. The band released its fourth album, One by One, in 2002. The group followed that release with the two-disc In Your Honor (2005), which was split between acoustic songs and harder-rocking material. Foo Fighters released its sixth album, Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace, in 2007. Later that year, guitarist Pat Smear rejoined the band.

Over the course of the band's existence, three of its albums have won Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album, and all six have been nominated for Grammys.

rodney atkins ~ if your going through hell

Rodney Atkins was born in Tennessee on 28 March 1969, and put up for adoption not long after his birth. As an infant in a Home for Children in Greeneville, Tennessee, he was so sick that two couples who had taken him home returned him a few days later. A third couple, Margaret and Allan Atkins from Cumberland Gap, Tennessee, adopted him as well and, even though his ailments worsened, refused to give him up. His adoptive mother had been raised in a coal mining family near a tannery camp, and his dad survived an upbringing marked by poverty and episodes of abuse.

During high school, Atkins played guitar in his spare time at events and festivals. He went to college at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville, Tennessee, where he worked various jobs in order to pay for his education. He also went into Nashville to play gigs and write songs.

He was signed to Curb Records since 1997. Atkins charted his first single on the Billboard country charts that year, but did not release an album until 2003's Honesty, which included the Top 5 hit "Honesty (Write Me a List)."
If You're Going Through Hell, his second album, was released in 2006.

the killers ~ all these things that i've done

it isn't winter until i skate

Guest post written by Dwight Knicks

One of the first dates that I took my now wife on was ice skating. But I made the mistake of never asking her if she liked to ice skate before that. I confused her talking about watching figure skating for her knowing how to do it. Well, it ends up that she held onto me the whole time at the date because she was so bad at skating, so maybe it wasn't such a bad date idea after all. Now we've made it a tradition to go ice skating at least once every year. Needless to say, she can skate now.

It's getting that time again for winter weather so I went online about a week ago with our clear wimax and looked for times and reservation slots to go ice skating. We always go on the weekends, which can be tough because that's obviously the most popular time to skate.

I planned for us to go ice skating in a couple of weeks and then right after that we'll be having everyone over for Thanksgiving.

cars reunion?

Back in July 2010, the band posted a photo of themselves in the studio on their Facebook page, with the caption “Anyone in the mood for a reunion by The Cars?” The photo showed band mates Ric Ocasek, guitarist Elliot Easton, keyboardist Greg Hawkes and drummer David Robinson (bassist Benjamin Orr died of pancreatic cancer in 2000).

Billboard is reporting that the band has reunited to record their first album in 23 years and may support it with a tour.

Last week, The Cars posted a 73-second snippet of a new song, "Blue Tip," on their Facebook page, but provided no additional information.

Veteran engineer Paul Orofino recorded new songs with the band at his studio in Millbrook, N.Y. this summer; no details have been officially announced.

Sources tell Billboard the group is strongly considering touring, but dates have yet to be confirmed.

The Cars have been very influential: their polished 1978 debut set the mainstream tone with songs like “Just What I Needed,” “Good Times Roll” and “My Best Friend’s Girl.”

keane ~ somewhere only we know

Keane ~ an English alternative rock band from Battle, East Sussex, formed in 1997. The group currently comprises Tim Rice-Oxley (piano, backing vocals), Tom Chaplin (lead vocals, guitar) and Richard Hughes (drums, percussion). Jesse Quin (bass guitar, percussion) is unofficially the fourth member of the band, and joined in 2008 as a permanent studio member and performer. Their original line-up included founder and guitarist Dominic Scott, who left in 2001.

Keane achieved mainstream success with the release of their debut album, Hopes and Fears, in 2004. The album won multiple awards and was the second best-selling British album of the year. Their second studio album, Under the Iron Sea, continued the band's success, topping the album charts in the UK and debuting at number-four on the Billboard 200 US chart. Their third album, Perfect Symmetry was released in October 2008. Their fourth record, Night Train, was released in May 2010, debuting at number 1 on the UK Chart and at number 25 at Billboard 200 US chart.

Keane are known for using a piano as the lead instrument instead of guitars, differentiating them from most other rock bands. The inclusion of a distorted piano effect in 2006 and various synthesizers were a common feature in their music that back then combined the piano rock sound used during their first album and the more electronic sound which developed on the second and third albums. Since the start of their career, the band has sold over 10 million albums worldwide. From their album Perfect Symmetry in 2008, they included the electric guitar, making the sound of the band much more varied, but not leaving of side the traditional piano.

exotic fair food

Guest post written by Dawn Newsome

I love to always try things at least once in life. That goes for even the weird stuff. But that especially goes for food. I just think that life is too exciting to just eating the same old things all the time. So I really like going to the fair and trying all the crazy food that they come up with.
I was online the other day with my DIRECT TV internet and decided to look up some of the crazy concoctions that were popular at fairs across the country this year. Boy did I find some crazy stuff, like deep fried butter and deep fried beer, which I'm not really sure how they get that to work.
I saw some of those things (and still didn't figure out how they do the deep fried beer thing) but opted for some chocolate covered bacon. Now, I really do love bacon and I thought that I should give it a try. The thing is that it wasn't as weird as I thought. The sweet chocolate really balanced out the salty bacon and I ended up getting another piece of it.

your favorite fall tv show premier

The article written by Adrian Hickman

My favorite Fall TV Show Premier was by far Dexter. This is because the show finally went away from the sort of hokey super hero versus super villain type plots and focused more on the lead character, Dexter, and his own homicidal tendencies. They also killed off the most annoying character on the show, his wife Rita, and left some uncertainty as to who is to blame for her death. While the addition of Doakes 2.0, also known as Quinn, continues to be banal, and the fact that Dexter's sister will sleep with the neighbor's dog if it barked at her funny is a slap against feminists everywhere, I still find the show to be incredibly engaging simply because the premier chose this new direction for its protagonist.
What awaits us this season we do not know, although it is likely Dexter will get away with his serial killing again, lest the show disappear altogether. Nevertheless, it does seem that the writers are making a conscious effort to remind us that Dexter is no saint, that he is a man who has a lust for blood, especially when that blood is pouring out of someone's open wound, albeit he also has a kinder side, as he removes his victims from this world with relative haste. In any case, it should be a fun season. Dexter is available only on Showtime on satellite TV from www.directstartv.com/localchannels/.

harry potter group halloween costumes

Guest post written by Kimberly Stuart

We're big fans of everything Harry Potter in our household and any time that there's a Harry Potter weekend on TV, which is about every third weekend, all we do is sit around and watch it. After we went to the grand opening of the Harry Potter Wizarding World a few months ago, we knew that we wanted to dress up as characters for Halloween.
Now, because we're such big fans, I've been using my clear tv bundle a whole lot lately to look up things that we can incorporate into our outfits.
My husband is going to dress up like Hagrid and I'm going to be Hermoine. Then our two sons are going to dress up like Harry and Ron, which I was afraid was going to start a fight over who was going to be Harry, but our youngest wanted to be Ron. So that avoided a Harry Potter catastrophe right there. We have the cloaks for our outfits, now I just have to get working on making our wands.

Due to overwhelming ticket demand, Avenged Sevenfold is moving a number of shows on its upcoming European tour to larger venues. Concerts in Paris, Munich and Sweden have all been switched to bigger venues, with tickets for the original shows still being honored and more being made available. Other dates on the tour are close to selling out.
Guitarist Zacky Vengeance told fans they will see the biggest production the band's ever brought out: "This is the biggest playground for us in the history of our being in Avenged Sevenfold, I think. It's really sad that Jimmy's not here with us to share it, because he would be so proud of what we're doing right now. The stage setup is what we've always dreamed of. It came straight from our hearts and our minds and our creative vision, and we've finally brought everything we've ever wanted to do to life."
~Nightmare is the first release from Avenged Sevenfold since the death of drummer Jimmy "The Rev" Sullivan last December following an overdose of prescription drugs and alcohol.

will hoge ~ when i can afford to lose

Critically-acclaimed Nashville rocker Will Hoge is releasing an EP titled The Living Room Sessions on Ryko on Oct. 12, 2010 and will be joining Shinedown on tour throughout November and December 2010.

The six-song acoustic EP was recorded in only two days in Hoge’s living room and features stripped-down versions of essential songs (“Long Gone,” “Favorite Waste of Time,” “Goodnight/Goodbye,” “Too Late Too Soon” and “Even If It Breaks Your Heart”) from his latest album, The Wreckage, and the fan favorite, “All Night Long,” from Hoge’s 2003 album, Blackbird On A Lonely Wire.

“I like acoustic recordings that try to be different from the album versions,” says Hoge. “We just got together and camped out at my house for a couple of days… it’s not a home studio, no real fancy set-up or multi-tracking. The console was a laptop on a card table, and that same table also served simultaneously as the keyboard stand. There were no real overdubs or re-dos or pitch correct. We just did it ‘til we liked it and let it be…not out of laziness, it just seemed to fit.”

Hoge, the relentless road warrior, kicked-off his headlining tour last weekend in Nashville, which will continue through October. He’ll then join rockers Shinedown on their “Anything & Everything” tour kicking-off Nov. 4, 2010 in Tampa, Fl. and wrapping up in New Orleans, La. on Dec 9, 2010. The tour spans over 25 major cities throughout the Midwest, Southeast and Northeast regions of the United States.

jimmy eat world - secret show

Jimmy Eat World played a "secret" show in Scottsdale, AZ last Thursday.
Only it wasn't really a secret; the Mesa-born band spilled the beans on themselves through Facebook.
That's also where they released their forthcoming sixth album, "Invented," 60 seconds at a time.
"We just wanted to give our fans a little taste of the new record, give them something to get excited about," guitarist Tom Linton said during a phone call last week from his Chandler home.
The album reunites the band with their old producer Mark Trombino, who was with Jimmy Eat World on their first three recordings.
Jimmy Eat World returns to the road for the first time in nearly two years to showcase "Invented," their follow-up to 2007's "Chase This Light."
Linton said playing for Arizona audiences is a lot like a family reunion.  "There's not as much pressure when we're at home," he said. "It's like playing for our friends and family."

The Big Bang Theory Everything You Want In A TV Sitcom

Contributed by Maria Ruiz

The Big Bang Theory is a hysterical comedy centered around a group of four nerdy friends who are so smart; they are complete imbeciles when it comes to social skills. The group consists of Sheldon Cooper (Jim Parsons) and Leonard Hofstadter (Johnny Galecki) who portray a couple of mismatched roommates with Sheldon constantly tormenting Leonard with his unreasonable set of roommate rules and demands.
Howard Wolowitz (Simon Helberg) and Rajesh Koothrappali (Kunal Nayyar) are their braniac friends and co-workers at Cal Tech. Raj cannot manage to get a word out when in the company of women and Wolowitz fancies himself as a real ladies man but generally manages to insult any potential love interest.
Penny, an aspiring screenwriter and actress, moves in across the hall and that's when the fun really begins. Just out of a bad relationship, Penny decides to meet guys that are more than good looking. Having a beautiful woman show these guys feminine attention is a whole new experience and it doesn't take long for Leonard to set his sights on the unattainable goal of dating Penny.
This is the first TV sitcom that I have truly found myself laughing at in years. The humor is fantastic and the chemistry between the five of them allows for hilarious banter and one-liners. I've already made sure my direct tv is set to record for The Big Bang Theory season premiere.
